Ultrasonic irradiation of copper powder
Chemistry of Materials, 1989Ultrasonic irradiation enhances the reactivity of metal surfaces. Because of this, the sonochemical activation of various metals has become a routine synthetic technique. The mechanisms of heterogeneous sonochemistry, however, remain largely unexplored.

Copper plating of SmCo5 powder
Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics, 19761. A study was made of the effects of process parameters in the deposition of copper on SmCo5 powder particles by the contact method upon the yield of copper into the coating. 2. It was established that the copper content of the powder is strongly affected by the pH of the working cupric chloride solution and its concentration; the ...

The stabilization of electrodeposited copper powder
Surface and Coatings Technology, 1986Abstract Copper powder was electrodeposited from a solution containing copper sulphate and sulphuric acid. The stability of the powder, as measured by the resistance to oxidation, was assessed over a range of temperatures using a thermal balance. Similar powder was treated with an aqueous solution of benzotriazole, a specific corrosion inhibitor for ...

The corrosion and inhibition of copper powders
Corrosion Science, 1991Abstract The corrosion rate of copper powders in moist air obeyed a parabolic law. The rate constant was influenced by temperature, humidity, surface structures of the powders and production method. Surface treatment was carried out with triazine dithiol in different solvents and with hydrazine.

Sintering of Copper Ultrafine Powders
1989Sintering characteristics were examined for the Oxidized (subjected to slow oxidation treatment) Cu and the Fresh (not subjected to slow oxidation treatment) Cu ultrafine powders(UFPs). Gas desorption, reduction and densification of two kinds of Cu UFPs during sintering in a vacuum or in a hydrogen atmosphere were discussed.

Copper oxide powder as a copper supplement for sheep.
Journal of trace elements and electrolytes in health and disease, 1995The ability of oral doses of copper oxide powder to raise liver and blood copper concentration was examined in penned sheep given a pelleted diet containing 4 mg of copper per kg dry matter. Merino sheep of similar live weight and liver copper concentration were allocated at random to one of six treatment groups of four sheep each.

It has been demonstrated that copper powder can be slip-cast using sodium alginate as a deflocculant binder and water as a liquid vehicle. The results show that spherically shaped powder is preferable to irregularly shaped powder for the production of copper slip-castings. The viscosity of a copper slip is related to its pH value and exhibits a minimum

Electroless tinning of copper powders
Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics, 1979A study was made of the tinning of copper powders from solutions. Under optimum conditions (duration 10–15 min, temperature 40°C) the process enables a tinned copper powder to be obtained of any desired tin content.

Pressing and Sintering of Copper Powders
2015Abstract Development of the properties of copper powder metallurgy parts is affected by pressing and sintering processes used in the production of components, such as contacts, carbon brushes, and friction materials. This article briefly describes the powder properties of copper and discusses the roles of lubricant and compaction dies in

Copper Powder Metallurgy Products
1990Abstract This article briefly reviews the subject of copper-base powder-metallurgy (P/M) products in terms of powder production methods (atomization, oxide reduction, electrolysis, and hydrometallurgy) and the product properties/consolidation practices of the major applications.
