His survey included two varieties of C. olitorius Linn., four varieties of C. capsularis Linn. and C. acutangulus Lamk. Acta Horticulturae, 1983Sixteen Corchorus olitorius accessions were field evaluated to provide basic information on seed production. Dry seed yields per plant ranged from 9.8g to 235.0g among 15 accessions grown during the dry season (November 1980February 1981) in contrast to 2.6g produced by a commercial cultivar (oniyaya) in the previous rainy season (March -May 1980).
