AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

A theory of the city as object: or, how spatial laws mediate the social construction of urban space [PDF]
A series of recent papers (Hillier et al 1993, Hillier 1996b, Hillier 2000) have outlined a generic process by which spatial configurations, through their effect on movement, first shape, and then are shaped by, land use patterns and densities. The aim

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
