Abstract It is now possible to create an atom sized electron beam that can probe the electronic structure of materials on the scale. Electrons passed through an electron spectrometer from such a probe give energy loss spectra that can provide insight on the local chemistry, bonding and electronic structure.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Heat-Treatment Optimizing Study on Soft Magnetic Properties of FeCuNbSiB Nanocrystalline Alloys
This job was focused on the annealing technique of large-size nanocrystalline core with height of 50 mm, to meet the low core loss requirement of large-size nanocrystalline core used in large-capacity high-frequency transformer.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Correlation of titanium content and core loss in non-oriented electrical steel sheets [PDF]
In this study the correlation between the titanium content of steel and the core loss of non-oriented electrical steel sheets was determined. The core loss and titanium content of steel have a weak, but positive, correlation.

Magnetization-Dependent Core-Loss Model in a Three-Phase Self-Excited Induction Generator
Steady-state, transient, as well as dynamic analyses of self-excited induction generators (SEIGs) are generally well-documented. However, in most of the documented studies, core losses have been neglected or inaccurately modeled.

Core Loss Calculation of Symmetric Trapezoidal Magnetic Flux Density Waveform
Existing empiricalcore loss models for symmetric trapezoidal flux waveform (TzFW) still suffer some issues such as the inaccuracy and the complexity. These issues are mainly due to the lack of an accurate model of the relaxation loss generated during the

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Core Structure and Electromagnetic Field Evaluation in WPT Systems for Charging Electric Vehicles
The electromagnetic field (EMF) in a wireless power transfer (WPT) system needs to couple inductively between the primary and the secondary coils through a large air gap, thus giving the system a loosely coupled characteristic.
