This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Low-loss Multimoded Antiresonant Hollow Core Fiber
We report the first design for low-loss, multimoded antiresonant hollow-core fiber for applications requiring multiple modes. The designed fiber guides 6 - 9 spatially distinct core modes having confinement loss <0.001 - 0.01dB/m respectively.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Magnetization-Dependent Core-Loss Model in a Three-Phase Self-Excited Induction Generator
Steady-state, transient, as well as dynamic analyses of self-excited induction generators (SEIGs) are generally well-documented. However, in most of the documented studies, core losses have been neglected or inaccurately modeled.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Core Structure and Electromagnetic Field Evaluation in WPT Systems for Charging Electric Vehicles
The electromagnetic field (EMF) in a wireless power transfer (WPT) system needs to couple inductively between the primary and the secondary coils through a large air gap, thus giving the system a loosely coupled characteristic.

Physical Modeling of Core Losses in Ferrite E-Cores
The development of advanced power electronic converters requires an accurate calculation of core losses in magnetic devices. But the losses in the widely used ferrite cores depend on the shape of the core, especially above 100kHz, meaning that core losses can not be estimated by simply scaling reference data with respect to the volume of the core.

We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

High-Frequency Gap Losses in Nanocrystalline Cores
Finite element analysis is used to examine the gap losses that occur in finely laminated nanocrystalline inductor cores under high-frequency operation. The losses are seen to be concentrated in the region of the air gap and the dependence of the losses on key design parameters and operating conditions is explored.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
