Tocilizumab for severe and refractory mucous membrane pemphigoid

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
Elevated IL‐6 levels identified in mucous membrane pemphigoid support IL‐6 blockade, with tocilizumab demonstrating clinical benefit in nine patients with severe and refractory mucous membrane pemphigoid. Abstract Background Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) is a rare autoimmune blistering disease involving mucous membranes with a potentially ...

Epidermal necrolysis sequelae: A cohort study on prevalence and risk factors

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
Long‐term sequelae after epidermal necrolysis are frequent, multiple and often severe. Cutaneous, ocular and psychological complications are more frequent, with significant socioeconomic impact. Cluster analysis identifies distinct patient profiles, highlighting the need for personalized multidisciplinary follow‐up.

Treatment of corneal neovascularization with argon laser

open access: yesKorean Journal of Ophthalmology, 1993
Corneal neovascularization, which is associated with complications in corneal diseases, can cause lipid deposit, decreasing vision, and graft rejection after penetrating keratoplasty (PKP). Corneal laser photocoagulation using an argon laser or yellow dye laser for ablation of corneal neovascularization has been described.

Airway Involvement in Conradi–Hünermann–Happle Syndrome: A Novel Clinical Manifestation

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 7, Page 3240-3245, July 2026.
We report the first documented case of airway involvement in Conradi–Hünermann–Happle syndrome (CDPX2), an X‐linked dominant form of chondrodysplasia punctata caused by pathogenic variants in EBP. A 2‐month‐old female with genetically confirmed CDPX2 developed severe subglottic stenosis and persistent respiratory distress requiring CPAP; cross ...
