Fibronectin1‐Expressing Subicular Circuits Selectively Govern the Retrieval of Novel Object Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fibronectin 1 (FN1)‐expressing subicular subpopulations encode novel object preference and selectively govern retrieval of novel object recognition (NOR) via affecting excitability of entorhinal‐projecting circuit through large conductance Ca2+‐activated potassium (BK) channel. ABSTRACT Novel object recognition (NOR), referring to the cognitive ability

A Brain‐Wide Atlas of Astrocytic Oxytocin Receptors Reveals a Glial Basis for Nucleus Accumbens Modulation of Affiliative Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The cellular actors of oxytocin signaling are under intense scrutiny. A brain‐wide anatomical and functional analysis in mice and rats reveals widespread expression of oxytocin receptors in astrocytes. These receptors are functionally active and, in the nucleus accumbens, selectively regulate male social affiliation.

Interaction of actinidia and cornelian cherry in mixed planting

open access: yesІнтродукція Рослин, 2000
Interaction between Actinidia (arguta × purpurea) and Cornus mas L. seedlings in mixed planting was studied in the vegetation test. It is determined that Cornus mas L. stimulates growth of Actinidia seedlings.

Phenolic compounds of Cornus mas and Cornus officinalis

open access: yesUkraïns’kij bìofarmacevtičnij žurnal, 2018
Topicality. Cornus mas is a valuable fruit, medicinal and ornamental plant from the family Cornaceae, which is widely distributed in the natural flora in Ukraine and it is widely cultivated. Cornus officinalis is only cultivated in Ukraineas an ornamental plant. Previously, we have studied the acid, terpenic and mineral composition of dogwoods, but the

The cranial, mandibular, and hyoid anatomy of softshell turtles (Trionychidae): A revised character list for phylogenetic analysis

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Softshell turtles (Pan‐Trionychidae) are an early branching clade of hidden‐necked turtles (Cryptodira) with a rich fossil record extending back to the Early Cretaceous. The evolutionary history of softshell turtles is still unresolved because of their conservative morphology combined with high levels of polymorphism related to morphological ...

Some Fruit Characteristics of Cornelian Cherries (Cornus mas L.)

open access: yesNotulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca, 2011
This study was carried out on 13 local cornelian cherry (Cornus mas L.) genotypes grown in Yusufeli (Artvin) in Northeast Anatolia in Turkey. Cornelian cherry fruits from these 13 genotypes were harvested and analyzed during the ripening period in 2010 ...

Structural and Functional Stability of Natural Actomyosin From Freshwater Snail (Bellamya bengalensis): Unraveling Thermal and pH Effects

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Natural actomyosin from B. bengalensis exhibited maximum solubility (∼69.9%) at 40°C and stability near neutral pH, with minimum solubility at pH 4. Surface hydrophobicity and emulsifying activity peaked at 50°C, whereas Ca2+‐ATPase and foaming peaked at 40°C. DSC and SDS–PAGE confirmed denaturation above 40°C.

Can cornelian cherry mask bitter taste of probiotic chocolate? Human TAS2R receptors and a sensory study with comprehensive characterisation of new functional product.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2021
Cornelian cherry (Cornus mas L.) fruits are a valuable source of bioactive compounds that are responsible for the perception of bitter taste of chocolate products. The aim of the study was to validate the inhibitory effect of Cornus mas on the TAS2R3 and
