Pacritinib Impact on QT Interval: Results of a Thorough QT Study and Post Hoc Analysis of Prospective Clinical Trial Data

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology in Drug Development, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Pacritinib, an inhibitor of JAK2/IRAK1/ACVR1 that is devoid of JAK1 activity, approved for treating myelofibrosis in patients with severe thrombocytopenia, carries a label warning for QT interval prolongation. To evaluate the cardiac safety of pacritinib, a randomized, placebo‐ and active‐controlled, single‐dose thorough QT (TQT) study was ...

Heterogeneous Stress Driven by Environmental Filtering Maintains Plant Diversity Along an Arid Riparian Gradient

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Environmental stress is generally expected to reduce biodiversity, yet its effects under spatially heterogeneous conditions remain unclear. Along an arid riparian gradient of the Ulungur River, we show that local herbaceous plant diversity peaks in downstream reaches despite severe salinization–alkalization and phosphorus limitation, driven by ...

Refractive Index Spectral Fingerprints of Pathogenic Bacteria Revealed by Monte Carlo‐Optimized Opto‐Microfluidic Extinction Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, Volume 19, Issue 6, June 2026.
A physics‐informed opto‐microfluidic platform reconstructs refractive index spectra of pathogenic bacteria through Monte Carlo‐based inverse modeling. These optical fingerprints enable label‐free species identification with 97.75% accuracy using a one‐dimensional convolutional neural network, demonstrating a scalable biophotonic strategy for rapid ...

Reticulated Platelets and an Optimal Model for Differentiating Thrombocytopenia Etiologies

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives This study aimed to investigate the clinical value of reticulated platelets (RtcPLT) percentage derived from an automated hematology analyzer in differentiating thrombocytopenia due to peripheral etiology from decreased bone marrow production (BME). In addition, a secondary objective was to establish specific reference intervals for

T‐Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in a Young Patient With Andersen–Tawil Syndrome Successfully and Safely Treated With Intensive Chemotherapy Including Potential Precipitating Drugs: A Case Report After 3.5 Years of Follow‐up

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Andersen–Tawil syndrome (ATS) is a rare, hereditary channelopathy characterized by periodic paralysis, cardiac arrhythmias, and sometimes developmental anomalies. No association with hematologic malignancies has previously been reported. We describe the case of a 27‐year‐old man with genetically confirmed Type 1 ATS who developed T‐cell acute ...

Channel and Spatial Parallel Attention for ECG‐Based Prediction of Concealed Accessory Pathways and Atrioventricular Nodal Reentry Tachycardia

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
CSPANet, a deep learning model with channel and spatial parallel attention, distinguishes concealed accessory pathways and atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia from sinus‐rhythm ECGs with 92.6% accuracy. This novel approach facilitates optimized ablation planning and enhances procedural safety, addressing a key diagnostic gap in arrhythmia ...

Ephedrine‐Triggered Torsades de Pointes in Two Patients Following Desflurane‐Induced QT Prolongation

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
Desflurane‐induced QT prolongation followed by ephedrine‐triggered premature ventricular contractions led to torsades de pointes/ventricular fibrillation in two patients. These cases demonstrate sequential electrocardiographic progression and highlight the importance of careful vasopressor selection during general anesthesia.

Circadian Immunity and Vascular Inflammation in Cardiovascular Disease Chronotherapy Windows: Time for a Re‐Assessment

open access: yesMed Research, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 236-279, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Circadian rhythms orchestrate cardiovascular physiology by regulating immune and inflammatory pathways. Disruption of these rhythms profoundly alters vascular homeostasis, thereby promoting the onset and progression of cardiovascular diseases (CVD).
