Correlated fluctuations near the QCD critical point

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 2016
In this article, we introduce a freeze-out scheme for the dynamical models near the QCD critical point through coupling the decoupled classical particles with the order parameter field. With a modified distribution function that satisfies specific static

Correlated fluctuations carry signatures of gene regulatory network dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Theoretical Biology, 2010
The dynamics of transcriptional control involve small numbers of molecules and result in significant fluctuations in protein and mRNA concentrations.

Correlations and fluctuations in phase coarsening

Physical Review E, 2006
Three-dimensional phase coarsening at various volume fractions is simulated by employing multiparticle diffusion methods. The dynamic process of phase coarsening is visualized through a three-dimensional movie. The present study also characterizes interparticle spacings in polydispersed particle systems and clarifies the controversial mathematical ...

Fluctuation and Correlation in Crystalline Lysozyme

Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences, 1997
We examine interatomic distance fluctuations and displacement correlations in orthorhombic hen egg-white lysozyme using results from a 1 ns molecular dynamics trajectory of the crystalline unit cell. It is found that locally in the sequence the atoms are both highly correlated and undergo low relative fluctuations.

Correlation functions of temporal fluctuations

Physical Review A, 1989
The temporal correlation in a steady time series experimentally observed is discussed by clarifying the direct interrelation between the double-time correlation function and the q\ensuremath{\rightarrow}0 statistics of the order-q time correlation function introduced for the study of the overall characteristic motions embedded in the time series.

Psychological correlates of weight fluctuation

International Journal of Eating Disorders, 1995
This investigation attempted to determine psychological correlates of weight fluctuation in a sample of 497 normal weight and obese adults who were enrolled in a prospective, natural history study. Subjects were stratified by gender, obesity, and age and classified as weight maintainers, gainers, or losers based on their changes in weight over a 1-year
