ƒ(R) Gravity, Relic Coherent Gravitons and Optical Chaos

open access: yesGalaxies, 2014
We discuss the production of massive relic coherent gravitons in a particular class of ƒ(R) gravity, which arises from string theory, and their possible imprint in the Cosmic Microwave Background.

Patchy Kinetic Sunyaev–Zel’dovich Effect with Controlled Reionization History and Morphology

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Using the novel semi-numerical code for reionization AMBER, we model the patchy kinetic Sunyaev–Zel’dovich (kSZ) effect by directly specifying the reionization history with the redshift midpoint z _mid , duration Δ _z , and asymmetry A _z .

Probing the statistic in the cosmic microwave background

open access: yes, 2009
Kolmogorov's statistic is used for the analysis of properties of perturbations in the Cosmic Microwave Background signal. We obtain the maps of the Kolmogorov stochasticity parameter for W and V band temperature data of WMAP which are differently ...

Imprints of Relic Gravitational Waves in Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A strong variable gravitational field of the very early Universe inevitably generates relic gravitational waves by amplifying their zero-point quantum oscillations.

Stratosphere‐Troposphere Exchange of Water Vapor Based on Observations and Reanalyses

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 24, 28 December 2025.
Abstract This study provides the first estimates of the global stratosphere‐troposphere exchange (STE) of water vapor (H2O) using the lowermost stratosphere mass budget approach. Observationally derived H2O fluxes across the isentropic surface fitted to the tropical tropopause are −1.16 ± 0.20 Pg/yr in the Northern Hemisphere extratropics, −0.94 ± 0.18

Simons Observatory: Characterization of the Large Aperture Telescope Receiver

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
The Simons Observatory (SO) is a ground-based cosmic microwave background (CMB) survey experiment that currently consists of three 0.42 m small-aperture telescopes and one 6 m large-aperture telescope (LAT), located at an elevation of 5200 m in the ...

A Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation Polarimeter Using Superconducting Bearings

open access: yes, 2003
Measurements of the polarization of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation are expected to significantly increase our understanding of the early universe.

The speed of quantum information and the preferred frame: analysis of experimental data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The results of EPR experiments performed in Geneva are analyzed in the frame of the cosmic microwave background radiation, generally considered as a good candidate for playing the role of preferred frame.

An Accelerated Discrete Ordinate Method (ADOM) Developed for Scalar Radiative Transfer by Merging Adjacent Clear‐Sky Atmospheric Layers: Forward and Jacobians Derivation

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 17, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract In this study, an Accelerated Discrete Ordinate Method (ADOM) is proposed to enhance the computational efficiency of multi‐layer radiative transfer (RT) simulations while maintaining a high accuracy. ADOM applies the Discrete Ordinate Method (DOM) only in scattering layers, while the radiances for the adjacent clear‐sky layers are merged and ...

Testing the ΛCDM Cosmological Model with Forthcoming Measurements of the Cosmic Microwave Background with SPT-3G

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We forecast constraints on cosmological parameters enabled by three surveys conducted with SPT-3G, the third-generation camera on the South Pole Telescope.
