The Discreet Charm of Higgsino Dark Matter: A Pocket Review

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
We give a brief review of the current constraints and prospects for detection of higgsino dark matter in low‐scale supersymmetry. In the first part we argue, after performing a survey of all potential dark matter particles in the MSSM, that the (nearly) pure higgsino is the only candidate emerging virtually unscathed from the wealth of observational ...

Cosmological Perturbations in Double Field Theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We explore perturbative double field theory about time-dependent (cosmological) backgrounds to cubic order. To this order the theory is consistent in a weakly constrained sense, so that for a toroidal geometry it encodes both momentum and genuine winding

Imprint of a scalar era on the primordial spectrum of gravitational waves

open access: yes, 2019
Upcoming searches for the stochastic background of inflationary gravitational waves (GWs) offer the exciting possibility to probe the evolution of our Universe prior to Big Bang nucleosynthesis.

Visible GeV ALP from TeV Vector‐Like Leptons

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 3, March 2025.
Abstract A model is presented where a GeV axion‐like‐particle (ALP) is predicted in a large portion of the parameter space due to the presence of explicit Peccei–Quinn (PQ) symmetry‐breaking terms in an exotic leptonic sector. The latter provides a solution to the muon g−2$g-2$ anomaly, within the framework of the Linear Seesaw neutrino mechanism.

Gauge‐Singlet Vector‐Like Fermion Dark Matter, LHC Diphoton Rate, and Direct Detection

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
We study a gauge‐singlet vector‐like fermion hidden sector dark matter model, in which the communication between the dark matter and the visible standard model sector is via the Higgs‐portal scalar‐Higgs mixing and also via a hidden sector scalar with loop‐level couplings to two gluons and also to two hypercharge gauge bosons induced by a vector‐like ...

Hierarchies from landscape probability gradients and critical boundaries

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
If the gradient of a probability distribution on a landscape of vacua aligns with the variation of some fundamental parameter, the parameter may be likely to take some non-generic value.

A novel probe of supersymmetry in light of nanohertz gravitational waves

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
A new era of exploring the early Universe may have begun with the recent strong evidence for the stochastic gravitational wave (GW) background from the data reported by NANOGrav, EPTA (including InPTA data), PPTA, and CPTA. Inspired by this, we propose a

Particle Physics and Cosmology

open access: yes, 2014
Today, both particle physics and cosmology are described by few parameter Standard Models, i.e. it is possible to deduce consequence of particle physics in cosmology and vice verse.

Bioanthropological analysis of human remains from the archaic and classic period discovered in Puyil cave, Mexico

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 184, Issue 2, June 2024.
Geographic distribution of shared mtDNA haplotypes between. This map shows the geographic distribution of shared mtDNA haplotypes between the human remains of Puyil Cave and those reported previously from ancient and contemporary people. Additionally, in the bottom right corner are shown the skulls on the surface of Chamber 4, discovered in this cave ...

Beyond Standard Model Searches in the MiniBooNE Experiment

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
The MiniBooNE experiment has contributed substantially to beyond standard model searches in the neutrino sector. The experiment was originally designed to test the Δm2 ~ 1 eV2 region of the sterile neutrino hypothesis by observing νe(ν-e) charged current quasielastic signals from a νμ(ν-μ) beam.
