Path integral formulation of stochastic optimal control with generalized costs

open access: yes, 2014
Path integral control solves a class of stochastic optimal control problems with a Monte Carlo (MC) method for an associated Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) equation.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Developing a cost-payment coordination model for project cost flow forecasting / Sąnaudų ir mokėjimo koordinavimo modelio, skirto projektų sąnaudų srautų prognozėms, kūrimas

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2011
Project operating cash flow forecasting techniques have evolved to enable detailed predictions relating to individual projects. These techniques, principally the cost-schedule integration (CSI) model, extensively use project cost estimates and schedule ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

On the cost of null-control of an artificial advection-diffusion problem

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we study the null-controllability of an artificial advection-diffusion system in dimension $n$. Using a spectral method, we prove that the control cost goes to zero exponentially when the viscosity vanishes and the control time is large ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Prevention and Cost Control [PDF]

open access: yesScience, 2012
Prevention is the key to cost control and improving the quality of health care in many nations. Most people think of prevention as vaccines and screening tests. But it is tertiary prevention—keeping people with established diseases from becoming worse—that holds the greatest promise for strengthening the health care system. Why?

Optimal controller/observer gains of discounted-cost LQG systems

open access: yes, 2018
The linear-quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) control paradigm is well-known in literature. The strategy of minimizing the cost function is available, both for the case where the state is known and where it is estimated through an observer.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.
