Countably decomposable admissible sets

open access: yesAnnals of Pure and Applied Logic, 1984
This paper is an important contribution to model and definability theory for infinitary languages unifying work on this subject done by various authors. An admissible structure \({\mathcal A}\) is defined to be countably decomposable if its domain A is the union of countably many of its elements and \({\mathcal A}\) satisfies a certain decomposability ...

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Strong convergence theorems for variational inequalities and fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2011
A new general iterative method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of variational inequality and the set of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings is introduced and studied. A strong convergence theorem of the

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Convergence Analysis for a System of Generalized Equilibrium Problems and a Countable Family of Strict Pseudocontractions

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2011
We introduce a new iterative algorithm for a system of generalized equilibrium problems and a countable family of strict pseudocontractions in Hilbert spaces.

Modelos minimales de la recta hiperreal

open access: yesRevista de Matemática: Teoría y Aplicaciones, 2009
A new proof of the existence of minimal models of the hiperreal line is obtained in terms of a combinatorial property of Ramsey ultrafilters over a countable set.

Ranks, Spectra and Their Dynamics for Families of Constant Expansions of Theories

open access: yesИзвестия Иркутского государственного университета: Серия "Математика", 2023
Constant or nonessential extensions of elementary theories provide a productive tool for the study and structural description of models of these theories, which is widely used in Model Theory and its applications, both for various stable and ordered ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Fixed Points Approximation and Solutions of Some Equilibrium and Variational Inequalities Problems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2009
We prove a new strong convergence theorem for an element in the intersection of the set of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings, the set of solutions of some variational inequality problems, and the set of solutions of some ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
