Multiphase voltage regulator having coupled inductors with reduced winding resistance

open access: yes, 2007
A multiple phase buck converter or boost converter, or buck-boost converter has an inductor in each phase. The inductors are inversely coupled. In a first embodiment, the converter includes a toroidal magnetic core with inductors extending under and over

Multiple Order Dual-Band Active Ring Filters with Composite Right/Left Handed Cells

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, a novel dual-band active filter topology is presented. The non-linear phase response of a composite right/left-handed cell is used to achieve the desired dual-band performance.

Very high step‐down coupled inductor two‐phase buck converter with single magnetic element and inherent clamp voltage capability

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
This paper proposed a new two‐phase high step‐down DC–DC converter is proposed. This converter is derived from the two‐phase series‐capacitor converter. The proposed converter replaces the series capacitor with a new structure that integrates Valley‐Fill

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Characterization and modeling of multiple coupled inductors based on on-chip four-port measurement

open access: yes, 2014
Because of the compact layout of RFICs and mm-wave ICs, coupling effects among neighboring inductors may seriously degrade circuit performance. This paper analyzes the coupling effects among multiple on-chip spiral inductors and develops a fully scalable

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.
