Metastatic niche shaped by host factors influences disseminated cancer cell fate

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Metastasis is shaped not only by cancer cells but also by the environments they encounter. This review explores how factors such as aging, diet, the microbiome, lifestyle, and environmental exposures remodel organ‐specific niches in the lung, liver, bone, and brain, influencing where metastatic cells survive, remain dormant, or grow, and ultimately ...

Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.

Coupling-controlled Dual ITO Layer Electro-Optic Modulator in Silicon Photonics

open access: yes, 2018
Electro-optic signal modulation provides a key functionality in modern technology and information networks. Photonic integration has enabled not only miniaturizing photonic components, but also provided performance improvements due to co-design ...

Effect of mutual coupling on spatial correlation for different manifold arrays

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2018
The mechanism of MC and its impact on the received signal vector were analyzed.A closed-form expression and an approximate expression of SC for antenna arrays with different forms were derived, where the power angle spectrum of arrival signal was modeled ...

Invisible but not inaccessible—Revealing transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins with solution NMR and complementary methods

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins may be ‘invisible’ to direct detection yet remain accessible to solution NMR through equilibrium‐exchange measurements and pressure‐jump experiments. Complementary methods report on mass, stoichiometry, selected distance distributions, morphology, and internal packing.

Study on coupling performance of tail vertebra-earth sweep frequency vibration of oil and gas exploration geophone

open access: yesJixie qiangdu
As the key equipment for collecting signals, the coupling performance of oil and gas exploration geophone and earth vibration affects the quality of collected signals and determines the exploration accuracy. In order to improve the exploration ability of

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

Inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase 7 impairs lysophagy in LLOMe‐treated HepG2 cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
DPP7 inhibition delays ubiquitin‐dependent lysophagy by attenuating ubiquitin accumulation and the recruitment of SQSTM1 and LC3 to damaged lysosomes, resulting in delayed clearance of damaged lysosomes and impaired restoration of lysosomal homeostasis. Created using FigureLabs (Certificate ID: FL‐PUB‐20260922‐Z99XNX).

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
