Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Stress analysis and stress intensity factors for finite geometry solids containing rectangular surface cracks [PDF]
The line method of analysis is applied to the Navier-Cauchy equations of elastic equilibrium to calculate the displacement field in a finite geometry bar containing a variable depth rectangular surface crack under extensionally applied uniform loading ...

Cohesive zone models in history dependent materials [PDF]
Copyright @ 2013 ACMECohesive zone model is a well known concept in nonlinear fracture mechanics of elasto-plastic materials. In contrast to that, we discuss a development of the cohesive zone model to linear, but time and history dependent, materials ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Propagation of cohesive crack in unsaturated porous media by use of XFEM method
Various damage models have been presented to model the cracks. These models don’t simulate the discontinuity in displacement field; just see its effect on an upper level on stress field through damage parameter.

Universal binding-energy relation for crystals that accounts for surface relaxation [PDF]
We present a universal relation for crack surface cohesion including surface relaxation. Specifically, we analyze how N atomic planes respond to an opening displacement at its boundary, producing structurally relaxed surfaces.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Numerical calibration of the stable poisson loaded specimen [PDF]
An analytical calibration of the Stable Poisson Loaded (SPL) specimen is presented. The specimen configuration is similar to the ASTM E-561 compact-tension specimen with displacement controlled wedge loading used for R-Curve determination.
