IMPACT OF HARDENING ON PLASTICITY AREA AT THE SLIGHTLY CURVED ELASTICITY-PLASTICITY CRACK TIP UNDER QUASI-STATIC LOADS

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2015
In this article,elastic-plastic curved crack tip plasticity area in hardened material under quasi-static loads has been mainly studied, and curved crack tip plasticity area has been calculated as a practical application of a second order perturbation ...

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

An Improved Method for Hull Structure Fatigue Crack Growth at Random Loading and Its Application

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Under random wave loading, the crack growth rate exhibits jump-like cycle-to-cycle variations, which limit the direct use of efficient integration schemes such as the Euler method.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Observation of the initial process of internal fracture in very high cycle fatigue in Ti-6Al-4V by synchrotron radiation μCT imaging

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2017
The initiation and growth of internal small fatigue cracks with around ten or several dozen μm in Ti-6Al-4V were nondestructively examined by using synchrotron radiation μCT at the large synchrotron radiation facility SPring-8.

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

Research on J integral of Crack Tip on Intersecting Line of Fracturing Pump Head

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2018
To address the primary failure modes of the fracturing pump head, a finite element model with different angular crack size is established. The J integral of the crack front and the plastic zone size of the crack tip are calculated.

Ultrasonic Sizing of Cracks in Web Geometries

open access: yes, 1984
Evaluation of the critical nature of interior cracks in turbine rotor component web regions in order to assess the remaining service life of the parts requires accurate determination of the crack sizes in order to perform fracture mechanics analysis. This analysis is important both in order to retire critically defective parts and in order to return ...

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)
