Until now, commercial hop (Humulus lupulus L.) production has not occurred in the northeast (NE) region of the United States for 150 years. Vermont production peaked in 1860 when the state produced 289,690 kg of dried hops (Kennedy 1860).

Embracing Complexity in HRM Research: A Call for System and Process Perspectives
ABSTRACT Human resource management (HRM) is inherently complex. It involves systems of principles, practices, and activities operating at individual, group, organizational, and macro levels, which are interlinked through complex processes. Yet, empirical research has not kept pace with this conceptual richness.

Hydrogen Halide Gas Sensors: Active Materials, Operation Principles, and Emerging Technologies
This review considers hydrogen halide (HX) gas sensors across functional materials and principles: acoustic, chemical, optical and nanophotonic. The strong acidity and reactivity of HX gases are discussed as constraints for stability and selectivity of these devices.

The multifunctional integration of MoS2 into the SERS platform addresses key limitations in accurate quantification. Atomically thin MoS2 reduces spot‐to‐spot variations via plasmonic calibration and improves quantification reliability by ensuring consistent signal changes with analyte concentration.

Coordination Effect of Oligopolists' Multimarket Contact
ABSTRACT In this article, we examine the coordination effect of oligopolists' multimarket contact with asymmetric cost. We extend a model of infinitely repeated multimarket contact games with “symmetric advantage” in the seminal paper of Bernheim and Whinston (The RAND Journal of Economics 1990; 21(1): 1–26).

Estimating Treatment Effects With Limited Exogeneity: A Machine Learning Approach to Selection Bias
ABSTRACT This paper presents a novel method for estimating treatment effects in cases where prior knowledge of the exogeneity of the treatment variable is limited. We employ a machine learning technique, double selection via Lasso, to identify a robust set of control variables without requiring prior assumptions about their specific identities or ...
