Pollinator Visitation Alters Cranberry Flower Fungal Communities in Wisconsin Cranberry Agroecosystems. [PDF]

open access: yesEnviron Microbiol Rep
A two‐year study reveals shared fungal communities between cranberry flowers and insect visitors, including Apis mellifera, Bombus species, solitary bees and hover flies. Greater fungal richness was present in pollinator‐accessible flowers compared to those that were tented.

Phenology of Oviposition of \u3ci\u3eDasyneura Oxycoccana\u3c/i\u3e (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) in Relation to Cranberry Plant Growth and Flowering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Eggs of cranberry tipworm, Dasyneura oxycoccana (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) were sampled in a Wisconsin cranberry marsh from 1990 through 1992. Oviposition began in May within one week after the first cranberry shoots elongated more than 5 mm.

Parasitism of Cranberry Fruitworm (\u3ci\u3eAcrobasis Vaccinii\u3c/i\u3e; Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) by Endemic or Released \u3ci\u3eTrichogramma Pretiosum\u3c/i\u3e (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Two levels of commercially-reared Trichogramma pretiosum were released during the oviposition period of the cranberry fruitworm (Aerobasis vaccinii) in eight Massachusetts (U.S.A.) cranberry bog sites. Release levels of 4.8 X 105 T. pretiosum per ha or 1.
