Bistable Switching of π‐Conjugation in a Dithienylethene‐Bridged Luminescent Trityl Diradicaloid

Photoswitches that affect π‐conjugation offer a powerful strategy for external manipulation of luminescent diradicals. Dithienylethene‐linked persistent trityl diradicaloids, DTE‐TTM2 and F6‐DTE‐TTM2, exhibit bistable switching of their optical, electrochemical and magnetic properties.

Discovery of the Cyclic Form of MRI pH‐Sensor Z‐OMPD Enables >5% 13C Hyperpolarization by SABRE

With “c‐OMPD”, we discovered a previously unknown 5‐membered lactol structure that arises from the homoaldol condensation of the central metabolite pyruvic acid.
