Shear work induced changes in the rheology of model Mozzarella cheeses : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Food Technology at Massey University, Manawatu, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Mozzarella cheese is a pasta filata type of cheese. Its manufacture includes a kneading – stretching step that creates a fibrous protein network and distributes fat-serum channels to attain desirable melt functionality on a pizza.

Creep, Relaxation and Viscosity Properties for Basic Fractional Models in Rheology

open access: yes, 2011
The purpose of this paper is twofold: from one side we provide a general survey to the viscoelastic models constructed via fractional calculus and from the other side we intend to analyze the basic fractional models as far as their creep, relaxation and ...

On the mechanical properties of an H-C rubber [PDF]

open access: yes, 1963
The material properties of H-C binder including dynamic shear compliance, relaxation modulus, creep compliance, ultimate stress and ultimate strain are reported. Further useful information in the form of Modified Power Law and Prony Series curve fits are

On the effect of fiber creep-compliance in the high-temperature deformation of continuous fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composites

open access: yes, 2010
Creep models for unidirectional ceramic matrix composites reinforced by long creeping fibers with weak interfaces are presented. These models extend the work of Du and McMeeking (1995) [Du, Z., McMeeking, R. 1995. Creep models for metal matrix composites

Prabhakar-like fractional viscoelasticity

open access: yes, 2017
The aim of this paper is to present a linear viscoelastic model based on Prabhakar fractional operators. In particular, we propose a modification of the classical fractional Maxwell model, in which we replace the Caputo derivative with the Prabhakar one.

Creep Compliance behaviors of raw fish muscles of five species.

open access: yesNIPPON SUISAN GAKKAISHI, 1988
The rheological properties of fish muscles of five species were characterized in terms of the creep compliance. A slight increase of the strain with time was observed in all species even without any load applied. The size of the linear region, where the stress increases in proportion to the strain, decreased when the loading time was prolonged.

Experiments in fixturing mechanics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This paper describes an experimental fixturing system wherein fixel reaction forces, workpiece loading, and workpiece displacements are measured during simulated fixturing operations.

Creep and Large-amplitude Oscillatory Shear Behavior of Whey Protein Isolate/κ-carrageenan Gels

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 2012
Dynamic oscillatory and creep tests are two common rheological methods used to determine viscoelastic properties. In the food industry, these tests are generally performed in the linear viscoelastic region, providing information on food structure and ...
