Effects of IGFBP4 deficiency on human preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation through the IGF1R/AKT pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

An evaluation of operation and creep life of stationary gas turbine engine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
During operation, gas turbine components undergo various types of timedependent degradation due to high temperatures and mechanical loading. In the case of stationary GT engines for mechanical power, creep failure mechanism problems are a very common ...

Inelastic finite element analysis of circumferentially notched specimen by damage-coupled inelastic constitutive equation of P91 steel

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal
P91 steel, known for its excellent creep strength and corrosion resistance, is used in key high-temperature equipment in power plants. This equipment has geometric discontinuities such as notches, where cracks will develop due to creep-fatigue loading by

Creep and Creep-Fatigue Crack Growth in Aluminium Alloys

open access: yes, 2011
Due to the low melting point of aluminium and its consequences on microstructural stability and mechanical resistance, aluminium alloys are generally not considered for applications that have to withstand elevated temperatures in service. However, in some very specific instances where the temperature is not too high, aluminium alloys can present a ...

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.

Life Prediction of Crack Growth for P92 Steel Under Strain-Controlled Creep–Fatigue Conditions Using a Sharp Notched Round Bar Specimen

open access: yesMetals
Testing and the estimation methods for predicting the life of crack initiation and crack growth for P92 steel using a circular sharp notched round bar specimen (CNS) under strain-controlled creep and fatigue conditions have been reported previously.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.
