Creep test conditions.

open access: yes
The shear creep characteristics of the contact surface between the permafrost and the structure play an important role in the study of the law of deformation and the measures for the prevention and control of pile foundations. In order to study the creep

Creep rupture properties of Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V alloy

open access: yes, 1968
Creep tests were made at 600, 800, 1000, and 1200 F (588, 699, 811, and 921 K) on duplex-annealed Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V alloy specimens. Creep-test conditions were selected to produce creep rates ranging from 0.1 to 50,000 percent per 1,000 hours and rupture ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Interpretation of small specimen creep test and recommendations on standardisation of impression creep test method [PDF]

open access: yes
In-service monitoring of power plant components toward later stages of plant life requires several methods for evaluation. Strain monitoring, metallography and ultrasonic techniques are the most common for inspection.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Study on shear creep model of calcareous sand in China South Sea

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
The creep characteristics of calcareous sand have an important impact on the stability of the structures on the coral islands in the South China Sea. Among the existing creep models for calcareous sand, fewer models consider the particle fragmentation of

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
