Creep test.

open access: yes, 2015
A) Model prediction of the creep behaviour in Achilles tendons when subjected to different stress magnitudes. B) The log-log plot shows almost no stress-dependent creep rate behaviour.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Time-dependent losses in post-tensioned prestressed concrete [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
An investigation has been undertaken into the factors affecting the time-dependent deformations, prestress losses and deflections of Class 1 uncracked prestressed concrete beams.

Kinetic Simulations of Cement Creep: Mechanisms from Shear Deformations of Glasses

open access: yes, 2015
\ua9 ASCE. The logarithmic deviatoric creep of cement paste is a technical and scientific challenge. Transition State Theory (TST) indicates that some nanoscale mechanisms of shear deformation, associated with a specific kind of strain hardening, can ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Creep Life Prediction Method by Using High-Temperature Indentation Creep Test

open access: yes, 2018
Creep life prediction is very important to maintain safe operation of thermal power plants for a long-term period. In this study, an alternative creep life prediction method was proposed based on a relationship between creep exponent n and creep ...

Applicability analysis of induction bending process to P91 piping of PGSFR by high-temperature creep tests

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
This study evaluated the high-temperature creep structural integrity of P91 induction-bent piping for Prototype Gen-IV Sodium-cooled Fast Reactors (PGSFR) through specimen creep tests and bent pipe structural creep test alongside inelastic analysis ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
