Creep behavior of the composites made from creep behavior of the composites made from waste materials of OCC recycling mills [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات علوم چوب و کاغذ ایران, 2011
The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of different loading levels and addition of urea formaldehyde and polyethylene on the creep behavior of composites made from wastes of OCC recycling mills.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Creep Model and Experimental Verification of Sandstone under the Coupled Effect of Chemical Corrosion and Temperature

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The Nishihara creep model is an extremely effective method in the field of sandstone creep model research. However, the Nishihara creep model curve for sandstone under the marine environment (the coupled effect of chemical corrosion and temperature) does

Predicting bending creep of laminated veneer lumber (LVL) sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) beams from initial creep test data

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
This paper presents the results of creep tests of Laminated Veneer Lumber Sengon (LVL Sengon) beams, aiming to determine the creep factor and to establish the prediction beam deflection based on the initial creep test data.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Influence of geometry on creep and moisture movement of clay, calcium silicate and concrete masonry [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
This investigation involved creep and moisture movement measurements for about six months on 13-course clay (Engineering class B) and calcium silicate brickwork, and 5-course concrete blockwork, consecutively.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Lifetime evaluation of concrete structures under sustained post-peak loading [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Experimental tests on crack propagation in concrete under constant post-peak loading are simulated using the finite element method and the cohesive crack model, in both Mode I and Mixed-mode conditions.
