CAR T‐Cell Therapy in Neurology: A Scoping Review of Neuro‐Oncology, Autoimmune Diseases & Neurotoxicity

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy has been investigated in neurological diseases, encompassing both central nervous system malignancies and autoimmune disorders, thereby extending its application beyond hematological cancers.

Comprehensive dissection of cis-regulatory elements in a 2.8 Mb topologically associated domain in six human cancers

open access: yesNature Communications
Cis-regulatory elements (CREs), such as enhancers and promoters, are fundamental regulators of gene expression and, across different cell types, the MYC locus utilizes a diverse regulatory architecture driven by multiple CREs.

Textile Concentric Ring Electrodes for ECG Recording Based on Screen-Printing Technology

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Among many of the electrode designs used in electrocardiography (ECG), concentric ring electrodes (CREs) are one of the most promising due to their enhanced spatial resolution. Their development has undergone a great push due to their use in recent years;

Mechanoluminescent HOF Nanotransducers Enabled Sono‐Optogenetics in Parkinsonian Rats

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a mechanoluminescent system utilizing porous hydrogen‐bonded organic frameworks (HOFs) as a toolkit for focused ultrasound‐triggered, non‐invasive light delivery to the deep brain in rats. This approach enables the specific activation of PV‐GPe neurons in dopamine‐depleted Parkinson's disease rat models, resulting in a comparable alleviation

A novel role for trithorax in the gene regulatory network for a rapidly evolving fruit fly pigmentation trait.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2023
Animal traits develop through the expression and action of numerous regulatory and realizator genes that comprise a gene regulatory network (GRN). For each GRN, its underlying patterns of gene expression are controlled by cis-regulatory elements (CREs ...

Microfabricated Anisotropic Myobundles for the Scalable Production of Cardiac Tissue Grafts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the anisotropy of cardiac tissue remains an outstanding challenge in the field of cardiac tissue engineering. Here, we introduce an approach to generate anisotropic cardiac myobundles using cell‐adhesive, synthetic, electrospun fibers and stem cell‐derived cardiac fibroblasts.

Multidimensional chromatin profiling of zebrafish pancreas to uncover and investigate disease-relevant enhancers

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Alterations in cis-regulatory elements (CREs) can contribute to pancreatic diseases. Here the authors combine chromatin profiling and interaction points with in vivo reporter assays in zebrafish to uncover functionally equivalent human CREs, helping to ...

GPR124 Alleviates Blood–Brain Barrier Disruption by Enhancing Microvascular Endothelial Function after Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our study reveals the protective role of GPR124 in maintaining BBB integrity and promoting neurological recovery following TBI. It makes a significant contribution by uncovering a novel molecular interaction between GPR124 and FGFBP1 and linking this to activation of the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway in vascular repair mechanisms.
