It is important to quantify and estimate stressful stimulation because stress appears to limit productivity and welfare in poultry. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of acute isolation stress (5, 10 or 30min) on the levels of blood ...

Reduced expression of CRH receptor type 1 in upper segment human myometrium during labour
Background Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) and CRH-related peptide are shown to modulate uterine contractility through two CRH receptor subtype, CRH-R1 and CRH-R2 during pregnancy.

Electroweak constraints on warped models with custodial symmetry [PDF]
It has been recently argued that realistic models with warped extra dimensions can have Kaluza-Klein particles accessible at the Large Hadron Collider if a custodial symmetry, SU(2)_V \times P_{LR}, is used to protect the T parameter and the coupling of ...

A novel role of peripheral corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) on dermal fibroblasts. [PDF]
Corticotropin-releasing hormone, or factor, (CRH or CRF) exerts important biological effects in multiple peripheral tissues via paracrine/autocrine actions.

Increased Numbers of CD4+ T‐Cells in the Hypocretin/Orexin Region of Narcolepsy Type 1
Narcolepsy type 1 (NT1) is presumed to be an autoimmune disorder caused by hypothalamic loss of hypocretin (Hcrt; orexin). In postmortem NT1 brains, we observed an 11‐fold increase of CD4+ T‐cells in the Hcrt region compared with control hypothalami, without a corresponding rise in CD8+ T‐cells.

Single-cell morphological characterization of CRH neurons throughout the whole mouse brain
Background Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) is an important neuromodulator that is widely distributed in the brain and plays a key role in mediating stress responses and autonomic functions.
