Acrylamide in potato crisps prepared from 20 UK-grown varieties: Effects of variety and tuber storage time [PDF]

open access: yesFood Chemistry, 2015
Twenty varieties of field-grown potato were stored for 2 months and 6 months at 8 °C. Mean acrylamide contents in crisps prepared from all varieties at both storage times ranged from 131 μg per kg in Verdi to 5360 μg per kg in Pentland Dell.

Deep Crisp Boundaries

2017 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), 2017
Edge detection had made significant progress with the help of deep Convolutional Networks (ConvNet). ConvNet based edge detectors approached human level performance on standard benchmarks. We provide a systematical study of these detector outputs, and show that they failed to accurately localize edges, which can be adversarial for tasks that require ...

CRISP

Proceedings of the annual conference on - ACM'73, 1973
A class project, even for an advanced class in systems programming, is usually simplified to make it possible to achieve success. A conflicting goal is to produce a realistic enough system to warrant production use, so as to provide the class with sufficient motivation and the right kind of system experience.

Crisp Fuzzy Implications

2018
Implications play an important role in fuzzy logics as they can be used both in practical and theoretical works. There exist many works in the literature where fuzzy implications behave in a crisp manner, i.e., implications that map to either zero or one.

FUZZY VOTERS, CRISP VOTES [PDF]

open access: possibleInternational Game Theory Review, 2007
In a binary choice voting scenario, voters may have fuzzy preferences but are required to make crisp choices. In order to compare a crisp voting procedure with more general mechanisms of fuzzy preference aggregation, we first focus on the latter. We present a formulation of strategy-proofness in this setting and study its consequences.

Fuzzification of crisp domains

Kybernetika, 2010
This paper discusses the transition from classical probability theory to fuzzy probability theory. The first part deals with discrete probability spaces and a simple transportation problem. It illustrates some fundamental constructions of fuzzy probability theory.
