Protection of the public in a large-scale radiation accident: mitigation of negative social consequences of protective actions. Part 1. Interpretation of dose characteristics of emergency

open access: yesРадиационная гигиена, 2019
The protective actions which were carried out with the purpose to reduce public exposure to radiation derived from the accidents at Chernobyl and Fukushima-1 nuclear power plants have caused negative consequences of social – psychological both social ...

A Remark on Critical Groups [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1969
Problem 24 of Hanna Neumann's book [3] reads: Does there exist, for a given integer n > 0, a Cross variety that is generated by its k-generator groups and contains (k+n)-generator critical groups? In such a variety, is every critical group that needs more than k generators a factor of a k-generator critical group, or at least of the free group of ...

Expert Consensus on the Application of Ulinastatin in Common Clinical Critical Illness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Ulinastatin is mainly applied in the treatment of acute pancreatitis, but also in other common clinical critical illnesses such as shock, sepsis, evere pneumonia, cute respiratory distress syndrome, several acute poisoning, severe heat stroke, severe ...

The Fucik spectrum and critical groups [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2001
We compute critical groups of zero for variational functionals arising from semilinear elliptic boundary value problems with jumping nonlinearities when the asymptotic limits of the nonlinearity fall in certain parts of Type (II) regions between curves of the Fucik spectrum.

The monodromy pairing and discrete logarithm on the Jacobian of finite graphs

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2010
Every graph has a canonical finite abelian group attached to it. This group has appeared in the literature under a variety of names including the sandpile group, critical group, Jacobian group, and Picard group.

Abelian networks III: The critical group [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebraic Combinatorics, 2015
The critical group of an abelian network is a finite abelian group that governs the behavior of the network on large inputs. It generalizes the sandpile group of a graph. We show that the critical group of an irreducible abelian network acts freely and transitively on recurrent states of the network.

A clinically relevant sheep model of orthotopic heart transplantation 24 h after donor brainstem death

open access: yesIntensive Care Medicine Experimental, 2021
Background Heart transplantation (HTx) from brainstem dead (BSD) donors is the gold-standard therapy for severe/end-stage cardiac disease, but is limited by a global donor heart shortage.
