Regarding Physical and Chemical Transformations with the Involvement of Water Near –45 °C
Objective. A hypothesis about a new mechanism for accelerating chemical reactions involving supercooled water near -45 °С is presented. The hypothesis is based on the properties of the second critical point of water at a temperature of –53 °C and a ...

Equation of state near the endpoint of the critical line
We discuss first order transitions for systems in the Ising universality class. The critical long distance physics near the endpoint of the critical line is explicitly connected to microscopic properties of a given system.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Dynamic Transitions in a Two Dimensional Associating Lattice Gas Model
Using Monte Carlo simulations we investigate some new aspects of the phase diagram and the behavior of the diffusion coefficient in an associating lattice gas (ALG) model on different regions of the phase diagram. The ALG model combines a two dimensional

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

KP line solitons and Tamari lattices
The KP-II equation possesses a class of line soliton solutions which can be qualitatively described via a tropical approximation as a chain of rooted binary trees, except at "critical" events where a transition to a different rooted binary tree takes ...

Critical Learning in the on-line classroom
Teaching in an online classroom is often new to university teachers which highlights the importance of training and development for faculty in on-line instruction in order to realise the promise of this burgeoning form of delivery. However, current research that examines formal training initiatives offered by universities tends to promote an ...
