Toward EFL Students’ Critical Thinking: How Effective Value Line Learning Strategy Is?

open access: yesJournal of English Language Teaching Fakultas Pendidikan Bahasa dan Seni Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris IKIP Mataram, 2023
Critical thinking in the academic context is considered paramount due to Indonesian government regulations. However, developing such skills needs extraordinary effort.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Critical line identification of power grid based on fault chain clustering algorithm

open access: yes电力工程技术, 2022
Research on the development mechanism of cascading failure and identification the critical line of evolution path is of great significance for exposing weak links in the power system and reducing the risk of cascading failures.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Comparing outcomes in patients with exsanguinating injuries: an Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST), multicenter, international trial evaluating prioritization of circulation over intubation (CAB over ABC)

open access: yesWorld Journal of Emergency Surgery
Introduction Hemorrhage is a major cause of preventable trauma deaths, and the ABC approach is widely used during the primary survey. We hypothesize that prioritizing circulation over intubation (CAB) can improve outcomes in patients with exsanguinating ...

Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infection Prevention in the Long-Term Acute Care Setting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Sustained reduction of central line-associated bloodstream infections remains elusive in many institutions, including the long-term acute care hospital (LTACH), despite a focus on improving patient outcomes.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Influence of line edge roughness in optical critical dimension metrology [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
We present the impact of line edge roughness (LER) on the optical critical dimension (OCD) metrology of nanostructures. The consideration of LER in OCD requires numerically expensive forward models and is therefore usually neglected.

A note on withdrawal from a two-layer fluid through a line sink in a porous medium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The steady response of the free surface of a fluid in a porous medium is considered during extraction of the fluid through a line sink. A conformal-mapping approach is used to derive exact solutions to a family of problems in which the line sink is ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...
