Imaginary Chemical Potential Approach for the Pseudo-Critical Line in the QCD Phase Diagram with Clover-Improved Wilson Fermions [PDF]
The QCD phase diagram is studied in the lattice QCD simulation with the imaginary chemical potential approach. We employ a clover-improved Wilson fermion action of two-flavors and a renormalization-group improved gauge action, and perform the simulation ...

Fatigue life prediction under mean stresses using critical plane approach
Abstract This paper suggests that multiaxial fatigue criteria can serve as damage parametersin the formulation of critical plane theory. We propose that by incorporatingstrain rate effects, critical plane approximation parameters can be effectivelyused to estimate fatigue life under various test conditions.

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...

Calculating the state parameter in crushable sands [PDF]
The state parameter (y) measures the distance from the current state to the critical state line (CSL) in the compression plane. The existence of a correlation between both the peak angle of shearing resistance ( # $ ) and peak dilatancy and y is central ...

ABSTRACT Background Families of children with cancer experience significant financial strain, even with universal healthcare. Indirect costs, such as productivity losses and non‐medical expenses, are rarely included in economic evaluations, and little is known about how effectively financial aid programmes alleviate this burden. Childhood brain tumours

ABSTRACT End‐of‐life conversations with adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer rarely occur without the guidance of healthcare professionals. As a part of the ‘Difficult Discussions’ study, focused on palliative care and advance care planning discussions with AYAs with cancer, we investigated the factors that healthcare professionals identify ...

Quasiclassical analysis of vortex lattice states in Rashba noncentrosymmetric superconductors
Vortex lattice states occurring in noncentrosymmetric superconductors with the spin-orbit coupling of Rashba type under a magnetic field parallel to the symmetry plane are examined by assuming the $s$-wave pairing case and in an approach combining the ...

Theory of the algebraic vortex liquid in an anisotropic spin-(1/2) triangular antiferromagnet [PDF]
We explore spin-(1/2) triangular antiferromagnets with both easy-plane and lattice exchange anisotropies by employing a dual vortex mapping followed by a fermionization of the vortices.

ABSTRACT Background Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often exhibit early deficits in muscle and movement competence, which can compromise long‐term health. Integrative neuromuscular training (INT), a multifaceted approach combining fundamental movement activities with strength exercises, may help address these deficits during ...

We study the in-plane and out-of-plane density ordering instabilities of quasi-two-dimensional fermionic polar molecules in single-layer and multi-layer configurations.
