Spasmolytic and Antibacterial Activity of Two Citrus sinensis Osbeck Varieties Cultivated in Mexico

open access: yesEvidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Antibacterial activity on ATCC strains of Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica, Salmonella enteritidis, and Salmonella choleraesuis and spasmolytic effect on contraction on rat ileum trips were determinate. Eight organic extracts (hexanic and methanolic) of albedo (mesocarp) and flavedo (pericarp) of two varieties (Valencian and National) of Citrus ...

Production and Characterization of Polyhydroxyalkanoates and Native Microorganisms Synthesized from Fatty Waste

open access: yesInternational Journal of Polymer Science, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are biodegradable and biocompatible plastics. They are synthesized by a wide variety of microorganisms (i.e., fungi and bacteria) and some organisms such as plants, which share characteristics with petrochemical‐based plastics.

Immobilization of NTPDase‐1 from Trypanosoma cruzi and Development of an Online Label‐Free Assay

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry, Volume 2016, Issue 1, 2016., 2016
The use of IMERs (Immobilized Enzyme Reactors) as a stationary phase coupled to high performance chromatographic systems is an interesting approach in the screening of new ligands. In addition, IMERs offer many advantages over techniques that employ enzymes in solution.

Water Soluble Rare‐Earth(III) based Coordination Polymers with Luminescence Versatility in Various Media: Reaching the Sky of Quantum Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 12, Issue 36, December 20, 2024.
The preparation and detailed characterization of four rare‐earth(III) based coordination polymers (CPs) showing high photoluminescence quantum yields in solid state is reported. These compounds present good water solubility that renders brightly emitting solutions and good dispersibility into thin‐films.

Prospects for tritordeum (×Tritordeum martinii A. Pujadas, Nothosp. Nov.) cereal breeding: Key points for future challenges

open access: yesPlant Breeding, Volume 143, Issue 6, Page 763-772, December 2024.
Abstract Tritordeum is the new cereal derived from crosses between the wild barley Hordeum chilense Roem. et Schultz. and either durum or bread wheat, resulting in hexaploid and octoploid tritordeums, respectively. The success of tritordeum as a crop depends on the effectiveness of its breeding programme. In this work, new advanced tritordeum lines are

High‐Performance Liquid Chromatographic Ultraviolet Determination of Memantine Hydrochloride after In Vitro Transdermal Diffusion Studies

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
The purpose of the present work was to validate an accurate and precise high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method involving ultraviolet detection for the quantitative analysis of memantine hydrochloride. In order to analyze a molecule with no chromophoric groups that could be detected by a UV/visible detector, it was necessary to extract the
