Investigating the use of multiple indicators in cross-lagged panel models : a methodological research approach

open access: yes
Longitudinal research provides valuable insights into the relationships between variables across time. The Cross-Lagged Panel Model is one of many longitudinal models that exists to examine these relationships.

Adaptation of Echinococcus Multilocularis to Oxidative Stress Depends on EmPDK‐Mediated Metabolic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metabolic adaption presents a vital survival strategy for E. multilocularis. This study identifies EmPDK as a central metabolic regulator governing glucose metabolic reprogramming. Oxidative stress activates EmHIF1α to induce EmPDK expression. Mechanistic characterization reveals this ROS/EmHIF1α/EmPDK axis drives glycolytic reprogramming to sustain ...

The Longitudinal Interplay Between Loneliness and Depressive Symptoms During Late Childhood: Cross-Lagged Panel Network Analyses

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Investigation in Health, Psychology and Education
Background: Loneliness and depression are interrelated constructs that significantly impact adolescents’ mental health. Understanding their interplay, particularly at the symptom level, is critical for developing effective interventions.

Hostility Modifies the Association between TV Viewing and Cardiometabolic Risk

open access: yesJournal of Obesity, 2014
Background. It was hypothesized that television viewing is predictive of cardiometabolic risk. Moreover, people with hostile personality type may be more susceptible to TV-induced negative emotions and harmful health habits which increase occurrence of ...

The Natural Product Corramycin Acts as a DNA Gyrase Poison and Overcomes Fluoroquinolone Resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Corramycin, a myxobacterial natural product antibiotic, exhibits potent bactericidal activity against multidrug‐resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The compound hijacks bacterial transporters such as BacA and OppABCD to enter the cell and inhibits DNA synthesis through a previously unrecognized mode of DNA gyrase poisoning, locking the enzyme in an ...

Inequality-constrained model selection in cross-lagged panel models

open access: yes
This study explores the use of the GORICA, a model selection method based on inequality constraints, in cross-lagged panel models (CLPM and RI-CLPM). The findings show that the GORICA can accurately identify the true model, and its performance improves as the sample size, number of measurement occasions, and differences between parameters increase ...

Gestational Hypoxia Disrupts Medial Ganglionic Eminence Progenitor Dynamics and Interneuron Development in Schizophrenia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FES‐derived MGE spheroids exhibit progenitor‐stage alterations in developmental trajectory and hypoxia‐responsive transcriptional programs, followed by functional disruption. Gestational hypoxia recapitulates impaired progenitor proliferation, shortened cell‐cycle progression, interneuron developmental abnormalities, and schizophrenia‐like behaviors in

GM‐CSF Promotes Neutrophil PD‐L1 Expression Through the VEGFR‐2/STAT6/CSF2 Signaling Axis in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
VEGFR‐2 signaling in OSCC activates Src–STAT6‐dependent CSF2 transcription, driving tumor‐derived GM‐CSF secretion. GM‐CSF programs neutrophils to express PD‐L1 through STAT5–mTOR/S6K signaling, suppressing cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. This pathway reveals a tumor–neutrophil immune checkpoint circuit that limits anti‐PD‐1 responsiveness in OSCC.

Programmable Paracrine‐Mimetic Microneedle System for Temporal Regulation of Cardiac Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temporal signaling is encoded into a programmable paracrine‐mimetic microneedle patch via tris(2,2'‐bipyridyl)dichlororuthenium(II) hexahydrate/sodium persulfate‐tuned hydrogel microparticles that deliver TGF‐β, IGF‐1, and VEGF over phase‐matched 7‐, 14‐, and 28‐day windows.

Tissue‐Agnostic Cellular Morphometric Biomarkers for Risk‐Adapted Management Across Gastrointestinal Precancerous Lesions and Cancers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An interpretable, unsupervised artificial intelligence framework identifies a 13‐cellular morphometric biomarker (CMB) signature from routine H&E whole‐slide images. Validated across 2,602 patients, the fixed signature generalizes across colorectal, gastric, and esophageal tissues without retraining, stratifies prognosis and precancerous lesion risk ...
