Highly Conducting Anion-Exchange Membranes Based on Cross-Linked Poly(norbornene): Ring Opening Metathesis Polymerization

ACS Applied Energy Materials, 2019
A series of cross-linked (XL) anion-exchange membranes (AEMs) were synthesized on the basis of the ring opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of norbornene monomers (rPNB).

Nucleoside homodimerisation by cross metathesis

Tetrahedron Letters, 2001
Abstract The cross metathesis of 3′-allylic analogues of thymidine, 2′-deoxyuridine and 2′-deoxycytidine is used to obtain nucleoside dimers, in which an unsaturated hydrocarbon chain links the 3′ positions of the sugar moieties. The biological activity on HIV infected cells was also evaluated.

A Tandem Cross-Metathesis/Semipinacol Rearrangement Reaction

Organic Letters, 2012
An efficient and (E)-selective synthesis of a 6-alkylidenebicyclo[3.2.1]octan-8-one has been developed. The key step is a tandem cross-metathesis/semipinacol rearrangement reaction, wherein the Hoveyda-Grubbs II catalyst, or more likely a derivative thereof, serves as the Lewis acid for the rearrangement.

Precision Aliphatic Polyesters via Cross-Metathesis Polymerization

Current Organic Synthesis, 2019
Cross-metathesis (CM), a carbon-carbon bond transformation that features exceptional selectivity, reactivity and tolerance to functionalities, has been extensively investigated in organic chemistry. On the other hand, the use of CM in polymer synthesis is also growing in both scope and breadth, thus offering a wealth of opportunities for introducing a ...

6E-Hydroximinosteroid homodimerization by cross-metathesis processes

Steroids, 2007
A rapid and efficient synthesis of 6E-hydroximinosteroid homodimers is described. The two new compounds were linked at position 3 of the steroid nucleus via a ruthenium catalyzed cross-metathesis reaction. The cytotoxic activity of these compounds was evaluated in vitro on human lung carcinoma A549 (ATCC CCL-185), colon adenocarcinoma HCT-116 (ATCC CCL-
