Quadratic and 2-crossed modules of algebras

open access: yes, 2007
In this work, we define the quadratic modules for commutative algebras and give relations among 2-crossed modules, crossed squares, quadratic modules and Simplicial commutative algebras with Moore complex of length 2.

Forecasting the Dialysis Burden in Japan: Validation‐Based Projections of Prevalence and Incidence Through 2050

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

On the topological generalized crossed modules

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper, we define the topological versions of the concepts of crossed module over generalized groups, which is called generalized crossed module, and generalized group-groupoid.

Determination of the Soiling Impact on Photovoltaic Modules at the Coastal Area of the Atacama Desert

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
With an elevation of 1000 m above sea level, once the coastal mountain range is crossed, the Atacama Desert receives the highest levels of solar radiation in the world. Global horizontal irradiations over 2500 kWh/(m2 year) and a cloudiness index below 3%

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Whiskered Groupoids and Crossed Modules with Diagrams

open access: yesJournal of New Theory
In this study, we investigate the relationships between the category of crossed modules of groups and the category of whiskered groupoids. Our first aim is to construct a crossed module structure over groups from a whiskered groupoid with the objects set

Equivalences of additive categories [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In the first part of the thesis, after an introduction of the concept of recollement and TTF triple in a triangulated category, we consider recollements of derived categories of differential graded algebras induced by self-orthogonal compact objects ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

REPRESENTATIONS OF CROSSED MODULES AND OTHER GENERALIZED YETTER-DRINFEL'D MODULES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
International audienceThe Yang-Baxter equation plays a fundamental role in various areas of mathematics. Its solutions, called braidings, are built, among others, from Yetter-Drinfel'd modules over a Hopf algebra, from self-distributive structures, and ...

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...
