Crystal Engineering in Continuous Plug-Flow Crystallizers [PDF]

open access: yesCrystal Growth & Design, 2017
Size, shape, and polymorphic form are the critical attributes of crystalline particles and represent the major focus of today's crystallization process design. This work demonstrates how crystal properties can be tuned efficiently in solution via a tubular crystallizer that facilitates rapid temperature cycling.

Crystal Growth and Luminescence Properties of Dy3+ and Ge4+ Co-Doped Bi4Si3O12 Single Crystals for High Power Warm White LED

open access: yesCrystals, 2017
Φ1 inch Dy3+ and Ge4+ co-doped bismuth silicate (Bi4Si3O12, BSO) single crystals with the length of 80–100 mm were successfully grown by Bridgman method. They are transparent, free of cracks and inclusions.

Suppression of the surface roughness by adjusting the temperature distribution in the top-seeded solution growth of SiC crystal

open access: yesJournal of Materiomics
Spontaneous nucleation of SiC particles and giant macroscopic steps result in the surface roughness of the grown crystal for the top-seeded solution growth of SiC crystal. To suppress the surface roughness, the temperature gradient was carefully adjusted

Exploitable magnetic anisotropy and half-metallicity controls in multiferroic van der Waals heterostructure

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials, 2023
Two-dimensional (2D) XY ferromagnets have drawn pronounced interest in recent years, but the characteristic of easy-plane magnetization restricts their application in spintronics to some extent.
