Structure and Morphology of Indole Analogue Crystals [PDF]

open access: yesACS Omega, 2020
Indole and six simple analogues were crystallized in different environments to study the crystal habit changes. All crystal structures were determined by X-ray diffraction experiments. Lattice energies based on DFT-D3 periodic calculations and framework analysis were used to define the most important intermolecular interactions in the crystal ...

Growth and morphology of C60 crystals [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Physics Letters, 1992
Abstract Single crystals of pure C 60 are grown from the vapour phase. The crystal morphology is compared to the theoretical equilibrium form, predicted on the basis of a periodic bond chain analysis and a statistical mechanical approach. Some interesting growth phenomena are observed and discussed.

Two-Dimensional Hydrogen-Bonded Crystal Structure, Hirshfeld Surface Analysis and Morphology Prediction of a New Polymorph of 1H-Nicotineamidium Chloride Salt [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A new polymorph of 1H-nicotineamidium chloride salt, (C6H7N2O)+·Cl−, was grown by slow evaporation at room temperature. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/m. The crystal structure study shows that the organic cations (C6H7N2O)+

Effect of Ionic Liquids on the Separation of Sucrose Crystals from a Natural Product Using Crystallization Techniques

open access: yesCrystals, 2017
The present work aims to investigate the applicability of ionic liquids (ILs) for natural ingredient crystallization. First, the medicinal plant, namely Angelica gigas Nakai, was extracted using methanol (MeOH) as a solvent.

Morphology-Retained Photoconversion Reaction of Anthracene Single Crystal: A New Approach for Organic Heterostructures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Morphology-retained solid-state photoconversion of anthracene (AN) to 9,10-anthraquinone (PC-ANQ) and dipara-anthracene (PC-DPA) was accomplished by irradiating mercury lamp light to plate-shaped AN single crystal in oxygen and argon atmosphere ...

Insight into the Formation of Glimepiride Nanocrystals by Wet Media Milling

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2020
Nanocrystal formation for the dissolution enhancement of glimepiride was attempted by wet media milling. Different stabilizers were tested and the obtained nanosuspensions were solidified by spray drying in presence of mannitol, and characterized ...

Structural, Hirshfeld Surface Analysis, Morphological Approach, and Spectroscopic Study of New Hybrid Iodobismuthate Containing Tetranuclear 0D Cluster Bi4I16·4(C6H9N2) 2(H2O)

open access: yesCrystals, 2020
The Bi4I16·4(C6H9N2) 2(H2O) compound was synthesized by slow evaporation at room temperature. It exhibits a zero-dimensional (0D) tetrameric structure, comprising [Bi4I16]4− distorted octahedra, with strong I⋯I interactions among adjacent anionic ...

DISTRIBUTION OF TRACE ELEMENTS IN PEROVSKITE FROM SKARNS AND CALCITE VEINS OF THE CHERNAYA RECHKA AND NAZYAM RIDGES (SOUTH URALS) [PDF]

open access: yesМинералогия, 2017
Trace element distribution and crystal morphology of perovskite from garnet-vesuvianite skarn of the Akhmatovskaya mine and chlorite-perovskite-calcite veins of the Perovskitovaya mine (South Urals) were studied using LA-ICP-MS.

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.
