A bench‐stable boryl thianthrenium dication is synthesized via thianthrenation of vinyl MIDA boronate. This novel dication enables metal‐free, chemo‐, and diastereoselective late‐stage aziridination with diverse nitrogen nucleophiles. The strategic significance is further showcased by one‐pot electrochemical and asymmetric protocols and versatile ...

Water Networks as Hydrophobic Recognition Motifs in Proteins
Hydrophobic groups can strengthen confined water networks, promoting order that propagates through the protein structure and drives recognition, creating a paradoxical hydrophobic binding hot spot. Polar groups are rejected because they disrupt the network, destabilizing the protein structure.

Bifunctional Aziridines from Photochemically Generated FSO2NH2 for SuFEx Diversification of Alkenes
Photochemically generated FSO2NH2 serves as a safe, practical nitrene precursor for Rh‐catalyzed aziridination of alkenes, granting access to previously inaccessible fluorosulfonyl aziridines. These bifunctional electrophiles merge aziridine ring strain with SuFEx reactivity to provide a modular platform toward aliphatic sulfamoyl fluoride derivatives ...

Triplet Metallovinylidenes of Palladium and Platinum Based on a Chelating P/Diazoalkene Ligand
A new class of chelating diazoalkenes is presented and their coordination complexes with Pd and Pt are characterized. Irradiation triggers N2 loss and gives access to the first triplet metallovinylidenes spectroscopically characterized utilizing FD‐FT THz‐EPR spectroscopy and SQUID measurements.
