STING Agonists and How to Reach Their Full Potential in Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
STING agonists show promise in preclinical studies in boosting an anti‐tumor response using the immune system. However, different limitations remain, and future research is needed to better understand how STING activation impacts the tumor microenvironment, identify effective combination strategies, and determine the best tumor types for STING agonist ...

A novel Pyroptosis‐related long non‐coding RNA signature for predicting the prognosis and immune landscape of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 11, Issue 24, Page 5097-5112, December 2022., 2022
our findings robustly demonstrate that our constructed prlncRNA signature could serve as an efficient indicator of prognosis, immunotherapy response, and chemosensitivity for HNSCC patients. Abstract Background Pyroptosis plays an essential function in carcinogenesis and the antitumor immune response.

Dopant‐Regulated Piezocatalysts Evoke Sonopiezoelectric and Enzymatic PANoptosis for Synergistic Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered Mn‐substituted HfO2 (HMO) is identified with enhanced sonopiezoelectric effects and multienzymatic activities, promoting reactive oxygen species generation and amplifying oxidative stress in cancer cells. Upon ultrasound irradiation, HMO evokes cancer cell PANoptosis, thereby triggering robust antitumor immunity.

A Copper‐Based Photothermal‐Responsive Nanoplatform Reprograms Tumor Immunogenicity via Self‐Amplified Cuproptosis for Synergistic Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces cuproptosis nanoplatform, a novel nanoplatform using Cu2−XS hollow nanospheres, elesclomol, and lauric acid (LA) for self‐amplified cuproptosis. NIR‐II laser activation melts LA, releasing copper ions and elesclomol to enhance copper delivery within tumor cells, reduce glutathione's inhibitory effect, and trigger immunogenic cell ...
