The Effect Of Delay Times On The Optimal Velocity Traffic Flow Behavior

open access: yes, 2005
We have numerically investigated the effect of the delay times $\tau_f$ and $\tau_s$ of a mixture of fast and slow vehicles on the fundamental diagram of the optimal velocity model.

Current induced domain wall dynamics in the presence of spin orbit torques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Current induced domain wall (DW) motion in perpendicularly magnetized nanostripes in the presence of spin orbit torques is studied. We show using micromagnetic simulations that the direction of the current induced DW motion and the associated DW velocity

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Study of the velocity field of surface currents in the South Atlantic Ocean derived from drifting buoy data

open access: yesRevista Ambiente & Água, 2011
A total of 1442 data series of 996 drifters from public and research databases were analyzed in order to decompose and to estimate the velocity field of surface currents between 30º S and 50º S in the South Atlantic Ocean, with emphasis on the South ...

Extracting clearer tsunami currents from shipborne Automatic Identification System data using ship yaw and equation of ship response

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2020
We have explored tsunami current signals in maritime Automatic Identification System (AIS) data during the 2011 Tohoku, Japan, tsunami. The AIS data were investigated in detail taking into account ship motion and response to tsunami current.

Role of structural relaxations and vibrational excitations in the high-frequency dynamics of liquids and glasses

open access: yes, 2006
We present theoretical investigation on the high-frequency collective dynamics in liquids and glasses at microscopic length scales and terahertz frequency region based on the mode-coupling theory for ideal liquid-glass transition.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Water velocity meter [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Simple, inexpensive drag sphere velocity meter with a zero to 6 ft/sec range measures steady-state flow. When combined with appropriate data acquisition system, it is suited to applications where large numbers of simultaneous measurements are needed for ...

Longitudinal and transverse noise in a moving Vortex Lattice

open access: yes, 2004
We have studied the longitudinal and the transverse velocity fluctuations of a moving vortex lattice (VL) driven by a transport current. They exhibit both the same broad spectrum and the same order of magnitude.

The Velocity Function of Galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We present a galaxy circular velocity function, Psi(log v), derived from existing luminosity functions and luminosity-velocity relations. Such a velocity function is desirable for several reasons.
