Metabolomic Signatures Influenced by Different Cardioplegic Solutions in Cardiac Surgery
Introduction: Cardioplegia is crucial for myocardial protection during cardiac surgery. However, the impact of different cardioplegia formulations on patients’ metabolomic responses has not been explored.

Portal venous drainage in a swine model of living‐donor intestinal transplantation promoted a more balanced immunometabolic profile, with early apoptotic modulation and increased IL‐1α expression, suggesting improved mucosal adaptation compared with systemic drainage.

Custodiol for myocardial protection and preservation: a systematic review.
Custodiol cardioplegia is attractive for minimally invasive cardiac surgery, as a single dose provides a long period of myocardial protection. Despite widespread use in Europe, there is little data confirming its efficacy compared with conventional (blood or crystalloid) cardioplegia.

Development of cardioplegic solution without potassium: experimental study in rat
INTRODUCTION: Myocardial preservation during open heart surgeries and harvesting for transplant are of great importance. The heart at the end of procedure has to resume its functions as soon as possible.

ABSTRACT Aim Dilatory microvascular function is impaired in ischemia/reperfusion injury in the kidney. Nitric oxide independent activators of soluble guanylyl cyclase (sGC) provide renal protection by dilating microvessels and preserving perfusion, but their efficacy declines after severe hypoxia.

Transcriptional Changes in Cumulus Cells During In Vitro Maturation of Human Oocytes
ABSTRACT This study assessed transcriptional changes in human cumulus cells (CCs) during oocyte maturation In Vitro. CCs were collected from 25 cumulus‐oocyte complexes derived from surplus ovarian medulla tissue of eight women (mean age 29 years, range 19–36) undergoing ovarian tissue cryopreservation without ovarian stimulation.
