A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Multi-Component Model Sets and Invariant Densities
Model sets (also called cut and project sets) are generalizations of lattices, and multi-component model sets are generalizations of lattices with colourings. In this paper, we study self-similarities of multi-component model sets.

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

International architectural workshop Patching the City 2011 [PDF]
The city of Rijeka is cut off from the sea by a strip of abandoned industrial zones. With the revitalisation of the degraded industrial areas, the city has an opportunity to progress and regain contact with the sea.

Homogenization of quasiperiodic structures and two-scale cut-and-projection convergence
Quasiperiodic arrangements of the constitutive materials in composites result in effective properties with very unusual electromagnetic and elastic properties. The paper discusses the cut-and-projection method that is used to characterize effective properties of quasiperiodic materials.

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Periods of cut-and-project tiling spaces obtained from root lattices
In the general construction of model sets, it is interesting to know all periods of the set (or any of its associated tilings). Here, the author gives an answer for the situation where the model set is obtained by the cut and project method from a root lattice.

This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...
