Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Cutting Force and Cutting Quality during Tapered Milling of Glass Magnesium Board

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In this paper, the effects of tool geometry and cutting parameters on cutting force and quality were investigated during the tapered milling of glass magnesium (MGO) board with diamond cutters. The results were as follows: firstly, both the cutting force

Perancangan Dinamometer untuk Mengukur Gaya Potong pada Mesin Freis untuk Pemesinan Material Fiber Reinforced Polymer

open access: yesMetal: Jurnal Sistem Mekanik dan Termal, 2020
Milling machine is a machine that cuts a workpiece using a plural chisel that rotates on a freis machine. During the freis process, the material is cut because of the cutting force that occurs between the tool and the workpiece.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Prediction of Cutting Forces by using Machine Parameters in end Milling Process [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2008
Cutting forces produce deformations along cutting tool which is one ofthe mechanical machining errors, so that cutting force during a millingoperation can be simulated in tool geometry during cutting conditionand workpiece, then studying this forces to ...

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Simulation and Experimental Research on the Longitudinal–Torsional Ultrasonic Cutting Process Characteristics of Aramid Honeycomb Materials

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Aiming at the problems of large cutting force, easy honeycomb tearing, and deformation during the traditional cutting process of aramid honeycomb materials and an increase in cutting temperature during continuous processing, which may lead to vibration ...
