Molecular dynamics simulation investigation of hot nanometric cutting of single crystal silicon [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this study, molecular dynamics (MD) simulation is employed to investigate mechanisms occurring during nanometric cutting process of single crystal silicon on different crystallographic planes under a wide range of workpiece temperatures (300-1500 K ...

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Separating valid odd-cycle and odd-set inequalities for the multiple depot vehicle scheduling problem

open access: yesEURO Journal on Computational Optimization, 2013
We consider the multicommodity network flow formulation of the multiple depot vehicle scheduling problem (MDVSP) and investigate several strategies within a branch-and-cut framework for solving the MDVSP.

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

A dual method for polar cuts in disjoint bilinear programming

open access: yesCroatian Operational Research Review
As one branch of deterministic approaches to disjoint bilinear programming, cutting plane methods are renowned for its ability to systematically reduce the search space by adding cutting planes that are able to cut off regions deemed infeasible or ...

Analysis and stiffness evaluation of a microparallel kinematic machine

open access: yesDyna, 2017
This study explores a scaled version of a 3-PRRR parallel configuration that can be used in micro-machining tasks. The study addresses a stiffness model of a micro-parallel kinematic machine (mPKM) by employing an approach involving kinematic and static ...

Partial Differential Equations for 3D Data Compression and Reconstruction [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper describes a PDE-based method for 3D reconstruction of surface patches. The PDE method is exploited using data obtained from standard 3D scanners.

Multiple Cuts with a Homogeneous Analytic Center Cutting Plane Method

open access: yesComputational Optimization and Applications, 2003
This paper analyzes the introduction of multiple central cuts in a conic formulation of the analytic center cutting plane method (in short ACCPM). This work extends earlier work on the homogeneous ACCPM, and parallels the analysis of the multiple cuts process in the standard ACCPM.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
