Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Permeability prediction of 3D complex fracture networks in deep underground based on fractal analysis of trace maps

open access: yesScientific Reports
Estimating the permeability of a three-dimensional (3D) discrete fracture network (DFN) based on its geometric properties can provide a useful alternative to the resource-intensive direct hydraulic computation of the 3D DFN.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Mechanism of Water Inrush Induced by Gob Water Under Repeated Mining and Control Technology Based on Roof Cutting Pressure Relief

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To mitigate the threat posed by accumulated gob water to underlying coal seams during multi-seam mining, this study investigates the mechanism of water inrush induced by repeated mining and its control through roof cutting pressure relief.

Cutting Plane and Frege Proofs

open access: yesInformation and Computation, 1995
The cutting plane refutation system CP for classical propositional calculus [see \textit{W. Cook}, \textit{C. R. Coullard} and \textit{Gy. Turan}, Discrete Appl. Math. 18, 25-38 (1987; Zbl 0625.90056)], initially coming from works in operation research, can be considered as an extension of resolution based on showing the non-existence of solutions for ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Calculation of principal stresses and their directions in selected cutting planes in rock drilling [PDF]

open access: yesActa Montanistica Slovaca, 2011
The paper is focused on the analysis of principal stress fields induced in the system of drilling tool-rock during the drilling process in immediate surroundings of their mutual contact. Various load conditions were analyzed, representing torque, loading

Correction and accuracy improvement of non-parallel shear zone model

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
When applying the non-parallel shear zone model to predict the cutting process parameters of carbon steel workpiece, it is found that there is a big error between the prediction results and the experimental values. And also, the former approach to obtain

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
