Synthesis and Characterization of Periodic Polypeptides Containing Repeating —(AlaGly)_xGluGly— Sequences [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
We have expressed in E. coli a series of periodic polypeptides represented by sequence 1. Our objective has been an understanding of the role of chemical sequence in determining the chain folding behavior of periodic macromolecules.

Studies of Bi-layers Growth Mechanism of Silver Bromide Molecular Clusters Prepared Via Electroporation of Vesicles and Quantum Confinement Effects Applications of Molecular Clusters [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Our previous work show that in the molecular cluster regime, the band blue shift associated with cluster growth can be understood by a model that assume electrons are confined to a spherical potential well and the clusters are made of some basic units. A formula is given for the lowest excited electronic state energy.

Fragments of Locusta migratoria apoLp-III provide insight into lipid binding

open access: yesBBA Advances, 2021
Apolipophorin III (apoLp-III) from Locusta migratoria is an exchangeable apolipoprotein with a critical role in lipid transport in insects. The protein is composed of a bundle of five amphipathic α-helices which undergo a large conformational change upon

Amino acid sequence of rabbit apolipoprotein E.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1991
The complete amino acid sequence of rabbit apolipoprotein E (apoE) was determined by generating three sets of peptides using cyanogen bromide, endoproteinase AspN, and Staphylococcus aureus V8 protease to cleave the protein.

Different Covalent Immobilizations Modulate Lipase Activities of Hypocrea pseudokoningii

open access: yesMolecules, 2017
Enzyme immobilization can promote several advantages for their industrial application. In this work, a lipase from Hypocrea pseudokoningii was efficiently linked to four chemical supports: agarose activated with cyanogen bromide (CNBr), glyoxyl-agarose ...

Cesium Enhances Long-Term Stability of Lead Bromide Perovskite-Based Solar Cells [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Direct comparison between perovskite-structured hybrid organic-inorganic - methyl ammonium lead bromide (MAPbBr3) and all-inorganic cesium lead bromide (CsPbBr3), allows identifying possible fundamental differences in their structural, thermal and electronic characteristics.
