Cyanogen Bromide Fragments of Human Serum Albumin

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1971
Abstract CNBr cleaves nonreduced human serum albumin into three large fragments, A, B, and C, which account for the total amino acid composition of albumin. Reduction and carboxamidomethylation of the free —SH groups produce four subfragments from A, identified according to their NH2-terminal amino acid residues as A-ProI (32 residues), A-AsxI (38 ...

A review on the mechanisms of fumigant action

open access: yesNew Plant Protection, Volume 2, Issue 1, March 2025.
Fumigants are chemicals that exhibit multi‐site activity. They can directly damage the structure of biofilms, leading to cell intoxication, or penetrate cells to disrupt energy metabolism and biosynthesis. Additionally, they can interfere with neuronal membrane potential and cause organelle dysfunction.

Monoclonal antibodies specific for different regions of human apolipoprotein A-I. Characterization of an antibody that does not bind to a genetic variant of apoA-I (Glu----136 Lys).

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1990
Three monoclonal mouse hybridoma antibodies, designated 2AI, 4AI, and 5AI, specific for human plasma apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I) were characterized. In an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) each of the antibodies reacted with purified apoA-I and ...

Metal Cluster's Effect on the Optical Properties of Cesium Bromide Thin Films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Cesium Bromide films grown of glass substrates by thermal evaporation showed interesting optical properties. The UV-visible absorption spectra showed peaks which showed red shift with time. Structural and morphological studies suggested decrease in grain size with time which was unusual.
