Thermal degradation studies of cyclic olefin copolymers

Polymer Degradation and Stability, 2003
The influences of the chemical composition and microstructure on the degradation behaviors of 3-series cyclic olefin copolymers (COCs) were investigated by using non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Kinetic parameters of degradation were evaluated by using the Flynn–Wall–Ozawa iso-conversional method and the pseudo first-order method ...

Microbial degradation of cyanobacterial cyclic peptides

Water Research, 2007
Bacterial strain B-9 possesses hydrolytic enzymes capable of degrading microcystins (MCs) and nodularin that are toxic cyclic peptides produced by cyanobacteria. In the present study, the degradation activities of the cell extract of B-9 against non-toxic cyanobacterial cyclic peptides other than the MCs and nodularin were investigated, and the ...

Degradation of the Cyclic AMP Antagonist Prostaglandylinositol Cyclic Phosphate (Cyclic PIP) by Dephosphorylation

Biological Chemistry, 1999
AbstractThe cAMP antagonist, prostaglandylinositol cyclic phosphate (cyclic PIP), is synthesized from prostaglandin E and activated inositol phosphate. From various tissues only that amount of cyclic PIP can be isolated that constitutes the difference between synthesis and degradation. In order to overcome this drawback, the cyclic PIP degrading enzyme

Cyclic Stiffness Degradation in Nonlinear Jackup Dynamics

Proceedings of Offshore Technology Conference, 2009
Abstract SNAME (2002) Guidelines for Site Specific Assessment of Mobile Jack-Up Units gives equations to describe degradation of foundation stiffness for jackup spudcans, depending on the size of a load cycle within a yield envelope.

Cyclic degradation of material in vehicle components

Russian Engineering Research, 2012
A nonstandard approach to the fatigue strength of materials and structures is proposed, within the framework of the complete-diagram method. The use of the cyclic-degradation model in calculating the life of vehicle components is illustrated. In supercritical cycling, linear summation of the damage is possible in some situations.
