Nonlinear cyclic load analysis for lateral response of batter piles in soft clay with a rigorous degradation model

open access: yes, 2000
Nonlinear analysis of batter piles in soft clay is performed using the finite element technique. As the batter piles are not only governed by lateral load but also axial load, the effect of P- Delta moment and geometric stiffness matrix is included in ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Settlement of a silo subjected to cyclic loading

open access: yes, 1994
The paper presents the vertical settlement values for a corn silo located at Ca' Mello, close to Porto Tolle (Italy), and compares it with the theoretical results obtained using a simplified one-dimensional consolidation theory, under cyclic tirangulard-shaped loading. Settlements of the silo's lateral sides range between two extremes, corresponding to

Effects of principal stress rotation and drainage on the resilient stiffness of railway foundations

open access: yes, 2013
Railway foundations play an integral role in controlling the stability of the overlying track structure and the maintenance of the overall track geometry.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Energy dissipation and equivalent damping of RC columns subjected to biaxial bending: an investigation based in experimental results

open access: yes, 2012
The cyclic behaviour of reinforced concrete columns have been object of many experimental studies in the recent past years. However, the experimental studies on the biaxial response of RC columns are still limited.
